We are deeply saddened to share the news that Dr Meghnath Roy, former GP at Urswick Medical Centre, passed away on 24.02.2026 at 4.54pm at his residence.
Dr Roy started his single-handed practice in 1998, serving the community from the Hatfield Road and Maplestead Road practice sites.
In 2004, Dr Roy moved his practice to the current Urswick Road site, where he continued to practice until 2007 when he retired.
Dr Roy was a valued and well-respected practitioner who will be remembered with great appreciation for his dedication and years of service to our patients and the community.
We extend our heartfelt condolences and support to Dr Roy’s family and loved ones during this very difficult time.
